EDITOR’S UPDATE: After this article was posted, LastPass Support reached out to our associated Twitter account with the following statement.
After a thorough investigation, we’ve identified and resolved the login errors caused by a bug in a recent release impacting a small set of users. This has been resolved and all services are now functional.
Additional reports have confirmed that previous customers experiencing issues were able to log back into their accounts.
LastPass, a popular password manager, is currently suffering a service outage. Users aren’t able to log into their accounts and can’t autofill fields with their saved passwords. The issue seemed to only affect customers with accounts dating back to 2014 and earlier.
While LastPass initially denied that there were any problems, they recently confirmed that an isolated incident was taking place and that they’re working to resolve it.
