Email apps share your data with major corporations [Motherboard]

Popular email apps such as Edison, Cleanfox, and Slice sell data based on their users’ inboxes to major companies such as McKinsey and Company, J.P Morgan, PayPal, and others.

Edison’s privacy policy claims that they access and process email messages in email accounts and “data collected from other [connected] internet accounts” however, the company did not specify what “processing” meant and the fact that they sold collected data.
